Not Make Them To Force-Fit Your Clothes

Our name, Shades of Earth, is a metaphor for the ever-evolving shades of a woman’s life. It represents the natural transitions our bodies go through—from girlhood to womanhood and beyond. Each phase, or ‘shade,’ reflects the beauty of change, growth, and wisdom.

We wanted to create a clothing brand that understands and supports women through all these shades of their lives. That's why when we started Shades Of Earth with two things in mind:

Creating clothes that look good on you for every shade of your life.

&

More importantly, creating clothes that make you feel good about yourself.

Designed for you. Not a Template

We do this because fast fashion treats us like a template. They forget that “mediums, large and XLs” are designed to fit people; people aren’t designed to fit them.

Sourcing

We start this by ethically sourcing the right material - something that feels like you’re wearing a cloud

Image

Design

Then we turn them into meaningful designs, stitched tactfully to fit your lifestyle. Where you choose everything.

Customization

From sleeve length, to neckline. Straight, wide, or narrow fit. Every aspect is under your control because everyone from a young woman to a working mother has different needs.

Because each woman is unique, and all of us don’t fit under a universal size.

So if you want something as unique as you - think of us. So, next time when you’re buying something new and notice that:

  • Top fits but the bottom is a size up?
  • XL is too large & L isn't large enough?
  • A knee length dress becomes a midi?

Do we even need to care about Sustainability?

Do we even need to care about Sustainability?

Yes, Here's why

Overproduction is the problem.

&

Buying From Brands that make clothes after you order is the answer.

The fashion industry produces 92 million tons of waste every year and is the second most polluting industry globally. We don’t add to it. Instead of mass-producing sizes that might never be worn, we craft each piece only when you place an order—reducing waste, conserving resources, and making fashion more intentional.

Mindful About What We Consume

Material

100% of our fabrics, like Cotton, Organic Cotton, Linen, Hemp and viscose are renewable and either come from farms or certified sustainable forests. Plus, we have no appetite for virgin synthetics, ensuring every fabric choice is responsible.

Trims & Accessories

Our pursuit of sustainability goes beyond just the fabric – it's all in the details! We use GRS certified recycled elastics, cotton labels and OEKO-TEX certified Corozo buttons, made from seeds of the Tagua palm tree, making them fully biodegradable.

Packaging

No plastic creeps into our packaging process as well. Our packaging consists of reusable jute tote bags that adapt to your lifestyle by being reusable, while our mailers are entirely compostable—designed to return to nature, not pollute it.

Trying to solve the problem of the fashion industry

“Too much production, & too little representation”

Too much production—where clothes are mass-produced to fill inventory, based on trend predictions from an Excel sheet, with little thought about their environmental impact.

Too little representation—where garments are made in rigid sizes like small, medium, and large, forcing women to squeeze and adjust themselves to fit, rather than designing clothes that fit them, ignoring the reality that real women’s bodies don’t conform to fast fashion templates.
